Heading to Christchurch Word Festival
Word Christchurch is the South Islands largest literary event, and this year runs from the 23rd – 27th August. The event will host writers, book signings, poets, performers and talks from literary visitors from New Zealand and overseas.

Risk! The Word Gala
An event to celebrate Katherine Mansfield. The gala dinner will see an impressive guest panel including Meg Mason, Tusiata Avia, Gabriel Kruze, David Keenan and Kevin Jared Hosein who will discuss risk and the moments in their lives they’ve lived to tell the tale.

The Great Word Story Hunt
One for the kids! Bring the little ones to find hidden clues in the library that will lead you to find more stories reads by local authors! They’ll also be fun spot prizes to be won.
