The 2023 Italian Film Festival has arrived in Christchurch!

Hosted by Lumiere Cinemas in central Christchurch, the Italian Film Festival is back and this year you can pick from 22 Italian films bringing Italy to New Zealand. 

Here are our top picks from this year’s line up

• The Hummingbird –a story of fatal coincidences, losses and love as the story follows the life of Marco Carrera from the 1970’s to now.
• The Perfect Dinner – a comedy with a little romance telling the story of a Neapolitan mafioso and chef who cross paths in Rome.
• The Shadow of the Day – A love story set in the 1930’s in a picturesque Italian village.
• With or Without You – a comedy telling the story of a breakup with many turns and changes along the way.
• Belli Ciao – tells the story of the highhearted clash between the north and south as two friends reunite who took different paths after high school.
